MB Active Coating Technology is our approach to microbiological surface care within the URIMAT system. Applied during the recommended care routine, the formulation brings selected bacterial spores to the treated surface, helping break down organic residues that can lead to odours.
The urinal, odour trap, coating application, and Bio Cubes each play a role. Together with correct installation and regular servicing, they form a coordinated care system.

What makes MB Active Technology more than a cleaning step?
It combines cleaning with microbiological odour prevention. How do URIMAT Bio Cubes support the system?

What do you mean by an Ultra High Efficient Urinal?
We use Ultra High Efficient Urinal (UHEU) to describe URIMAT’s approach to waterless urinals: zero water for flushing, an odour-trap system, compatible care products, and facility support. UHEU is our descriptive positioning here, not a claim of an independent certification.
We’ve had odour problems with waterless urinals. What should we ask?
Ask how the specific system controls odour, what installation conditions it needs, which cleaning products to use, and how its trap is serviced. URIMAT should be assessed as a complete system, with a care plan suited to your facility. We can walk through those details with your maintenance team.
Do waterless urinals need cleaning?
Yes. Waterless urinals still require regular cleaning, inspections, and replacement of serviceable components. Follow the instructions for your model and its approved care products.
Can we replace our existing flush urinals?
A retrofit may be possible. The existing drainage, mounting, plumbing condition, and applicable installation requirements must be assessed before confirming the work.
How often should the odour trap be replaced?
According to URIMAT, a typical odour trap can last up to 10,000 uses. Compared with a urinal using 3.8 litres per flush, that represents up to 38,000 litres of flushing water saved over one trap life cycle.
URIMAT reports that higher usage can shorten the payback period, because water savings accumulate faster. Financial savings depend on your municipality’s water and wastewater rates, your existing flush volume, and installation and maintenance costs.
Actual trap life depends on the model, site conditions, and care routine. Follow the manufacturer’s replacement guidance and any change indicator fitted to your trap.
